Job Summary 

To perform and coordinate accounting duties within our company and his/her responsibilities shall include; preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger,  preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. 


General duties and responsibilities: 

  • Coordinating accounting functions and programs. 
  • Preparing financial analyses and reports. 
  • Preparing revenue projections and forecasting expenditures. 
  • Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets. 
  • Maintaining and reconciling balance sheets and general ledger accounts. 
  • Assisting with annual audit preparations. 
  • Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance. ∙
  • Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures. ∙
  • Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned. 

Specific Tasks 

  • Preparing ledger and checking for the number bikes pending delivery against Pro forma Invoices paid and rise additional invoices if all Pis have been paid. 
  • Preparing Pro forma Invoices for prospective re-export customers and following up for payments for customers who have confirmed orders and ensuring all packing lists confirmed and paid for are the ones re-exported. 
  • Preparing a list of bikes sold in a month to date and balancing outstanding customer-wise as well as bikes pending delivery also customer-wise to the marketing team to enable them to plan accordingly. ∙
  • Initiating the Duty Payment process right from the point of receiving Duties from Logistics and preparing  payment in the banking system while ensuring they are stamped and returned to Logistics for the subsequent exit of the container 
  • Keeping track of containers (bikes) and spares arriving & off-loading at Nish Bond ∙ Clarifying queries with a finance team and head office 
  • Making and getting phone calls from Banker Clearing agents and Staff
  • Dealing with the clearing agent i.e receiving documents from the courier and submitting the same to the logistics department for onward submission to Clearing Agent. 
  • Checking bank payment vouchers 
  • Making Bank payments/Fund transfers for instance negotiating for the exchange rate, requesting USD, and sending for fund transfer approval 
  • Making Bank transfer fund request; FX transfer requests send to HO and Hard copies Submitted to Bank ∙ Preparing monthly financials for Nish Auto Ltd with schedules reconciling with P&L and Balance sheet balances. 
  • Preparing monthly inter-company statements and reconciling with our main supplier Auto world International FZCO to ensure all sister company transactions have been reconciled. ∙
  • Monthly Statutory tax returns preparation and co-ordinating with URA. 
  • Preparing monthly free service and warranty payments to all motorcycle dealers countywide and working with banks to ensure they get all their money as soon as it is signed off. ∙
  • Making salary and other online payments checking i.e online uploading 
  • Physical stock verification i.e working with 02 & 03 Wheeler departments on physical verification of stocks (both Vehicles and spares). 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. 
  • 6+ years of accounting experience. 
  • Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP. 
  • Strong financial analysis skills. 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Strong organizational and stress management skills. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. 
  • Ability to train and manage staff. 
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision.
