LOCATION: Washington, USA Hybrid
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: e.g. 65,000 - 75,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
Any offer of employment with the BBC will be conditional upon you having the right to live and work in the US (US citizenship, Green Card or work authorisation).
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To provide specialist technical financial knowledge in a range of activities - data, technical reporting, financial reporting, project management, treasury and contracts

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
• Ensure that outsourced providers meet the BBC operational requirements
• Manage overall contractual performance, seeking continuous improvement and value for money
• Management of financial projects
• Allocation of Finance staff to productions
• Responsible for weekly bank reconciliation
• Provide assurances to stakeholders on the resilience of the BBC's financial model
• Prepare the month end reporting
• Provide technical accounting and financial reporting
• Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of operational treasury and control environment
• Ensure compliance with treasury policies and strategies
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Demonstrable experience of project management, SAP, operation of financial reporting systems
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence
• Ability to take complex data/principles and to communicate these in an understandable way to the wider BBC team
• Knowledge and experience of regulatory requirements, accounting practices/guidelines and internal control mechanisms
DESIRABLE:
• Professional accounting experience preferred e.g. BA Accounting or equivalent
