Transaction Originations – Corporate and Leveraged Finance
The Middle Market team within our Corporate and Institutional Banking group is dedicated to delivering innovative capital solutions to institutional, corporate and private equity clients. We are a corporate and leveraged finance team providing growth and acquisition finance to Australian companies to support their strategic goals. The Originations function is responsible for the identification, sourcing and execution of new client relationships and transactions.

What role will you play?
As a senior member of this fast-growing team, you will be responsible for driving growth by originating, structuring and supporting execution of new opportunities across a broad range of industries and borrowers. In this client facing business-development role you will be responsible for both sourcing new transactions across the above lending markets and leading an internal deal team through execution to settlement together with Risk and other critical internal teams.
What you offer
• 8+ years experience in originating and executing financing opportunities within corporate and or leveraged finance
• A strong network and the ability to build long-standing client relationships across both private equity, advisor and / or direct corporate Borrower channels
• Significant credit assessment experience including an ability to understand and interrogate complex qualitative and quantitative credit factors as well as financial model outputs
• Strong understanding of governing legal frameworks around loan documentation and ability to negotiate these
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to positively influence teams, internal and external stakeholders
• A desire to demonstrate leadership amongst deal teams and broader Macquarie ecosystems
• A proven track record in delivering results. Effectiveness in planning and a demonstrated ability to be innovative
• The ability to thrive in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
